On Tuesday 18 June, discover more about the work and processes of Ushaw's resident fine artists Ade Adesina and Hugh Hamshaw Thomas as they spend time at Ushaw as part of the Ushaw Residency & Acquisition Prize with Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair.

Share On Tuesday 18 June, discover more about the work and processes of Ushaw's resident fine artists Ade Adesina and Hugh Hamshaw Thomas as they spend time at Ushaw as part of the Ushaw Residency & Acquisition Prize with Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair.
The artists, whose practice is inspired by environmental concerns and horticulture respectively, will have the opportunity to experience the fascinating library archive, the celebrated ecclesiastical architecture and beautiful landscaped grounds while gathering inspiration for a new work that will join the collection.
The open access 'studio' will be at 6pm on Tuesday 18 June in the Library Gallery, Ushaw Historic House, where you can also catch the current exhibition of 2021 & 2022 Artists in Residence, The Ushaw Editions, their finished works (now new acquisitions) and significant archival pieces from the historic collection that inspired them.
