Join the Rhode Island Historical Society on Tuesday, August 26th at 5pm at the Robinson Research Center for a member-exclusive crash course in acquisition from Senior Director of Collections & Interpretation Richard Ring. Guests will receive an on-the-ground look at the “what, how, why, and from whom” the RIHS acquires (or declines to acquire) its collections, from diaries and photo albums to portraits and furniture. Following the presentation, guests will receive a guided tour of the Robinson Research Center's collection storage.
