Join museum staff, and the Murphy family, as we celebrate the return of the 1200 lb. White Oak petrified log to its central display in the Murphy Petrified Wood Gallery!  Learn about the history of this special piece, and see if you can spot the woodpecker holes and beaver teeth marks. Have questions about petrified wood? This is a great opportunity to ask members of the Murphy family, while surrounded by their collection and family legacy. 

 

Coffee, tea, juice, and pastries will be served. 

 

This event is for members only. You will need to show your membership card, or give us the name on the membership, upon arrival at the museum.
