Clayton Community Theatre proudly announces our 28th (2026-2027) season! We will be performing each production for two weeks, on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings at 7:30 and Sunday afternoons at 2:00.
Murder on the Orient Express by Agatha Christie, adapted for the stage by Ken Ludwig
directed by Betsy Gasoske, Nov. 12-22, 2026.
Just after midnight, a snowdrift stops the Orient Express in its tracks. The luxurious train is surprisingly full for the time of the year, but by the morning it is one passenger fewer. An American tycoon lies dead in his compartment, stabbed eight times, his door locked from the inside. Isolated and with a killer in their midst, the passengers rely on detective Hercule Poirot to identify the murderer – in case he or she decides to strike again.
Crimes of the Heart by Beth Henley, directed by Matt Dossett, March 4-14, 2027.
In Hazlehurst, Mississippi, the three Magrath sisters gather to await news of their grandfather, who is living out his last hours in the local hospital. Lenny, the oldest sister, is unmarried at 30 and facing diminishing marital prospects; Meg, the middle sister, who quickly outgrew Hazlehurst, is back after a failed singing career on the West Coast, and Babe, the youngest, is out on bail after having shot her husband in the stomach. Their troubles, grave yet somehow hilarious, are highlighted by their priggish cousin, Chick, and by Babe’s awkward young lawyer, who has clearly fallen in love with her. Honest, touching and consistently hilarious, Beth Henley’s Pulitzer Prize-winning play teems with humanity and humor.
Stop Kiss by Diana Son, directed by Kelsey Belt, June 3-13, 2027.
After Callie meets Sara, the two unexpectedly fall in love. Their first kiss provokes a violent attack that transforms their lives in a way they could never anticipate. An angry bystander attacks Sara in a hate-crime after which she falls into a coma. This heartfelt story is told out of chronological order as we watch the relationship between Callie and Sara both before and after this horrific act.
All plays are presented in the Washington University South Campus Theatre, 6501 Clayton Road, in Clayton.
