Description

This evidence-based, early-intervention one-day course, administered by the National Council for Mental Wellbeing, is available virtually and uses community-specific scenarios, activities and videos to teach the skills needed to recognize and respond to signs and symptoms of mental health and substance use challenges as well as how to provide initial support until they are connected with appropriate professional help.

Notes on Required Pre-Course Steps:

1) You will not receive materials immediately. Please give 3 business days for our team to process new registrations and to send out pre-work information. If you do not receive a link to the pre-work, please email MHFAFreymann@gmail.com

2) Your pre-work modules #1-9 are due by the start of your training. Failure to complete this will result in you being unenrolled from the course and unable to attend the Instructor-led session. You will not receive a refund if you are dis-enrolled due to incomplete pre-work. If you are shifted to a future course date, you will need to re-do most pre-work items. If notified one week prior to the course date, refunds are available minus a $15 processing charge.

3) Reschedule Risk Note: This training will be cancelled and you will be offered other date options if less than 5 participants are registered. Feel free to encourage others to join you.

4) If Registering Under 3 Days From Event: If you are registering under 72 hours from the start of the training, please note it may take one business day to receive your pre-work link. Please plan your schedule accordingly if you sign up last minute.
