A celebration of art and science! 
 

We're hosting fashion models who have designed outfits inspired by their favorite rock, gem, or mineral to show how textile art and fashion can be integrated with geology. Come dressed to impress, or take inspiration from your favorite mineral just like the models.
 

Mingle with our fashionistas, enjoy wine and appetizers, and take part in our silent auction. 

 

Wine will be provided by Montinore Estate and Helvetia Vineyards and Winery. These two local wineries have a fascinating geological history thanks to the impact of the Missoula Floods on the Cascade soil where their grapes grow. We greatly value their rich relationship with our land!

 

All proceeds from this event support our museum. 

 

Tickets priced at $25 for non-members, $22.50 for members (must show membership card, or give name on membership, at event check-in).

The Rice Museum of Rocks and Minerals houses a world-class collection recognized as the finest in the Pacific Northwest and one of the best in the nation. Located just west of Portland, Oregon, in Hillsboro, the Museum showcases not only fine rocks and minerals, but also fossils, meteorites, lapidary art, and gemstones from both the Pacific Northwest and all around the world. The Museum is listed in the National Register of Historic Places for its unique architectural style, natural stonework, and the extraordinary native Oregon woodwork found throughout the building.
