Blue Light Youth Activity Units operate in rural areas throughout Western Australia. They are a charitable organisation established and managed by local Police Officers, who organise activities and social events for young people to have fun in a safe, supervised environment. Blue Light units play a significant role in early intervention and community crime prevention.
Mingenew Blue Light Unit is hosting a Trivia Night on Saturday 25th of March. The Trivia Night is a collaboration between the Mingenew Blue Light Unit & Mingenew Community Resource Centre.
Get a team of up to six (or thereabouts) together or leave it to us to find you a table on the night. Teams will compete across multiple rounds of general knowledge questions.
The cost of entry is $20 for adults, kids are free. A canteen will be available on the night with Domino's Pizza and a variety of snacks available for purchase. All entry and canteen proceeds will help fund the Mingenew Blue Light Unit's 2023 calendar of events.
The Mingenew Expo Committee will be running a licensed bar on the night. All proceeds from drink sales will contribute to funding this year's Mingenew Expo.
This is a family-friendly event and kids are welcome. We have a large inflatable screen and projector for an outdoor movie to keep the kids entertained. Bring your picnic blankets and rugs. For the toddlers, we'll have a selection of toys and a movie within the inside play area.
Tickets must be pre-purchased online to allow us to gauge attendance numbers.
If you are having difficulty purchasing tickets online, drop into the Mingenew Community Resource Centre who will be happy to assist.
The costume theme of the night is 'dress as your current (or dream) partner' with prizes awarded for best dressed.
A raffle will also be on offer with all proceeds going to the Mingenew Blue Light Unit. Raffle tickets are $10 with great prizes to give away.
