The Lafont House is excited to announce its next production... MISERY by William Goldberg, adapted from Stephen King's novel, Misery.
After a devastating car crash, bestselling author Paul Sheldon is saved by his "number one fan" Annie Wilkes. But this isn't a part of a fairytale plot... this is a nightmare that Paul must escape! When Annie discovers that Paul kills off her beloved character, Misery, in his most recent novel, she holds him hostage to write a new book. Can Paul escape Annie's clutches? CONTENT WARNING: Misery is an 18+ production. This play includes foul language, sexual innuendos, drug and alcohol usage, suicidal ideations, and graphic displays of violence, including homicide. There will be simulated gunshots and flashing/strobing lights. Viewer discretion is strongly advised.
