Join guest artist Tristin Teal for an immersive workshop exploring Mishima, a centuries-old ceramic technique celebrated for its intricate surface design.
In this workshop, Tristin will guide you through the Mishima process, from carving your design into a pre-made leather hard clay piece to inlaying colored slip and revealing the finished pattern. You'll learn how thoughtful linework and texture can transform functional pottery into beautifully detailed, one-of-a-kind pieces.
This is a one-time event. You'll design and underglaze your own Mishima piece from a pre-made leather hard vase and your finished piece will be glazed by us and ready in about 3 weeks.
This workshop is for all levels of expertise. Beginner friendly.
Includes 3 hours of hands-on instruction, use of community tools, a pre-made leather hard item, underglazes, and firing for the finished project.
