Biloxi Little Theatre is proud to present its second season show MISSISSIPPI GODD**N, winner of the 2016 M. Elizabeth Osborn Award by the American Theater Critics Association.

1963. Jackson, Mississippi. Robert-Earl Monroe wants Civil Rights Activist Medgar Evers off his once quiet street. But his plans are jeopardized when his sixteen-year-old daughter, Robbie, returns home from jail, newly politicized and eager to stand on the front lines of the Movement. Act Two jumps back in time to 1959, to the last time Medgar Evers set foot in the Monroe household for Robbie's 13th birthday. Battle lines are drawn — daughter against father, husband against wife, sister against sister, and neighbor against neighbor. MISSISSIPPI examines the tensions and complications within families and among neighbors in the years leading up to the 1963 assassination of Medgar Evers.

This show is included with current 2023-24 season memberships.

Tickets are non-refundable but may be exchanged for another date during the run of show, space permitting.

We're sorry, but children under the age of 6 will not be admitted.

Located in east Biloxi, the playhouse is housed in a historic building at 220 Lee Street, south of the Biloxi Kroc Center and north of the Deer Island cut. Parts of the building date to the 1890's. Amenities include handicapped parking and accessibility, dual air conditioning and heating, and lighted and patrolled parking areas.

Hurricane Katrina devastated the district, and the theatre was seriously damaged. A major renovation took place and improvements are ongoing to this day.

We work to make Biloxi Little Theatre uncommon. We produce plays that other local theatres won’t. We don’t edit our plays for content, and we offer a wide array of material. We work hard to keep our prices reasonable. We offer discounted tickets for seniors, students, and active military. We also offer season tickets at various levels, program advertising, and production sponsorship.

The arts are what make any community an interesting place to live, and Biloxi Little Theatre has been a part of the local arts scene since 1946. For over 20 years we’ve offered summer teen shows; now we’re offering programs for younger children; and we’re always ready to take a shot at something new. Come join us! Buy a ticket; encourage your friends to do the same! Work back stage, volunteer in the lobby, audition for a part! And help us spread the word about just how special theatre can be!
