MODA Members Meetup: Designing Cultural Connection at ADAMA
When global moments move through a city, how does design shape our reflection?
Join fellow MODA members for an afternoon at ADAMA, the African Diaspora Art Museum of Atlanta, a contemporary cultural institution reimagining museums through immersive storytelling, community participation, and experience design.
We’ll explore The African Game by Andrew Dosunmu, where football becomes image, ritual, and everyday life across the African diaspora—the global movement and lived experience of people of African descent shaped by history, migration and cultural exchange.
Meet Your Hosts
The tour and discussion will be led by Dr. Fahamu Pecou, Founder and Executive Director of ADAMA, and Terra Coles, Gallery Manager of ADAMA, who will share insights into the museum’s mission and approach to cultural experience design.
What to Expect
A guided tour of The African Game and other current exhibitions
A closer look at how identity, memory, and place are carried and reshaped across contexts through story, space, and representation
Conversation with fellow MODA members & ADAMA Village Leaders in a creative, cultural setting
Time to explore the exhibitions independently after the tour
Space is limited. RSVP required.
