Our Service Area is a subset of the Girl Scouts of the Northwestern Great Lakes Council, located in De Pere, Wisconsin. We have almost 400 girls registered as Girl Scouts and over 160 registered Adult volunteers as of 2/2024. Our Service Area organizes many events throughout the year including a 5-day long day camp in August.
Description
Join us for our first Mom & Me Campout! This will give you a chance to spend the night outdoors with your Scout in a more controlled environment and get a few things under your belt to make you more comfortable taking your troop camping (after you've taken Outdoor Education Training first, that is). There will be activities for the girls, activities for the moms and some for you together. You will participate in opening and closing flag ceremonies, cooking meals (including the world-famous Girl Scout dessert, s'mores), plus lots of other activities.
A What-To-Bring list will be sent out after registering, which includes a tent if you would prefer to use your own. If you do not have a tent, we will have our Service Area tents available but you may be sharing with other moms/Scouts.
Registration is open to Scouts currently in 4th grade and up and their female parent/guardian; fee is $25 per participant and after June 13th, will be non-refundable. Fee covers food, activity supplies and patch.
