Description

Learn to make one of the oldest and most durable joints in carpentry - the mortise and tenon. This class gives an overview of how and when to use this type of joint for your projects, how to measure to get a perfect fit, as well as how to create these joints using both hand and power tools.

The instructor will provide examples and explain how each part of a mortise and tenon joint is made, with opportunity to get hands-on practice. 

*Participants in this course should be comfortable using power tools and have a basic understanding of woodworking terminology.

Meet Our Instructor: John Lunde
With 15 years experience as a professional furniture maker and a manager of an architectural woodworking shop, John is excited to share his skills  and pass along his knowledge to the MTL community.
