Movement Without Borders is a perfect complement to PS21/Chatham PATHWAYS, our annual series of creative placemaking that fosters collaboration between regional and local artists and the community to enhance cultural life and well-being. Led by contemporary performance and theater luminaries, Movement Without Borders brings yoga, Pilates, exercise, dance, and self-expression to young and old. Instructors are drawn from talented professionals based in the Hudson Valley, visiting from Bennington’s MFA dance program, and elsewhere.
Movement Without Borders sessions are held in our sprung-floor Dance Barn, Pavilion Theater stage, and on PS21’s 100 acres of trails, open spaces, meadows, woodlands, and orchards. Open to the public from dawn to dusk, the grounds offer stunning views of the Catskills from the hills behind our theater. These priceless resources are available for our artists and our community, and there’s no better time than this spring and summer to get acquainted with this splendid “backyard.”
Please bring your own mask, water, mat, and towel. Masks are required for all Movement Without Borders sessions.
