Description

When starting a woodworking project many want to make dust as soon as possible. Tempting, but a mistake. Experienced woodworker John Lunde will show you the method used by professionals resulting in higher quality and faster completion even though it seems at first to be too slow. In short, you build the project in your head and on paper before touching any wood. You work out exactly what you will do, step by step, and how you will do it, anticipating as many difficulties as you can and answering as many questions in advance as possible.  This class will cover the basics of project planning, including making shop drawings, materials lists, cutting lists, and step by step tool use and assembly plans.

Thanks to our sponsor Fulton Brewing, there will be Fulton beverages free for attendees!

About the instructor: With 15 years of experience as a professional furniture maker and a manager of an architectural woodworking shop, John Lunde is excited to share his skills and pass along his knowledge to the MTL community.
