Description
Marc Stenham has nurtured and tended to the Rodmell Food Forest for over 10 years, turning an acre paddock into an inspiration bountiful wild landscape. Designed with permaculture principles -meaning wildlife and human life coexist together and humans learn from this ecosystlem - the plants in the garden are an unusual mix of edibles, medicinals, nitrogen fixers and wildlife promoters.
This year he ran a series of workshops called 'Build your Forest Garden for Free', inspired by the bountiful self propagation of the garden. We're delighted to welcome him to Seedy Sunday 2025, where he'll be distilling his 10+ years of knowledge creating forest gardens locally and demystifying this process, based upon his experiences at Rodmell.
“Brilliant. Inspiring. Need never go to a garden centre again!”
Beyond the forest garden Marc is part of the team at Tablehurst Young Farmers, a project bringing children and teens onto the land, he has a small flock of sheep which are currently at Lovebrook farm, he designs and builds forest gardens and he is also an acupuncturist.
Access Info: Talks take place at the Open Market, which has step-free access and a disabled toilet. The venue is partially-open and does get cold, so please bring extra layers with you!
