One of the Hart Cluett Museum's most popular tours is back this October— join us to explore the colorful and mysterious history of Troy. Come along and retrace the steps of unsolved murders, headline making trials, and more tales from the archives to give you goosebumps.

Embark on an adventure through the streets of Troy's historic streets led by museum staff. Tour guides use a microphone and guests are provided with headsets for ease of listening. Guests will also be able to carry a (battery powered) candlelit lantern to light their way. Tour routes vary by the guide but will feature the same key stories with some variation for audiences- you will hear something new every year!

 

Purchase tickets online or in the Museum Shop! Museum Passes for free tour tickets available at the Troy Library. See library website for details, each Museum Pass covers admission for one individual to a tour.

 

*Please note: These are not haunted tours. Content covered includes true crimes and local legends from the museum’s research and may be best appropriate for ages 13+. Call the museum at 518-272-7232 x111 with any questions.

Meet at the museum at least 15 minutes prior to the tour start time.

Before registering, please note the following:

·   Ticket purchase is required beforehand.

·   This tour will leave AND end at the Hart Cluett Museum, 57 Second Street Troy, NY.

·   Tickets are $25 per person/$10 per student or educator (with valid ID). Children 16 & under are free. 

If you are using a Museum Pass from the library please register in advance and choose the “Library Museum Pass” ticket option for your free ticket, you will need to present the Museum Pass at the time of the tour.


Admission to the museum is included in the cost of the walking tours.

·   Tours take place rain or shine, run from 60 to 90 minutes long, and are limited to 30 people per program. The tour experience includes walking several blocks on city streets with uneven sidewalks. Walking shoes and weather-appropriate attire are advised.

·   The Hart Cluett Museum provides all walking tour participants with headsets, allowing each visitor to listen to the tour guide at their preferred volume. Please note that while you may use or bring your own earpieces/earbuds, single use earpieces will also be provided by the Hart Cluett Museum at time of tour.

Cancellation Policy as of April 28, 2024:
Refunds or exchanges for ticketed tours and programs must be requested no fewer than 5 days prior to the program date. A $2.30 processing fee per ticket will be charged for refunds.
