MUSIC ORIENTATION

Music majors (required)
Music Minors (required)
students thinking about either the music major or minor (optional - encouraged)

When?
Tuesday, August 18th - Thursday, August 20th, 2026

What?
In a fun, informal setting, Music Orientation will build community amongst the new music students, introduce them to collegiate musicianship, connect them with faculty, and provide time for them to complete auditions and placement tests.  It will also bring insight into the music major experience for parents during Parent Sessions.  This event is coordinated to run before Week of Welcome (the university wide new student orientation).

Cost
$125 covers on-campus meals, field trip transportation, incidentals
(note: student meal plans do not include the boot camp days)

There is no cost for parents to attend their sessions, but parents are responsible for their meals.
