Students will leave able to improvise solos and duets in short form musical games, as well as sing inside long form narrative scenes. We’ll cover melody, song structure, lyric writing on the fly, and how to support a scene partner musically without derailing the story.
Designed for improv students who want to add singing to their toolkit, no musical background required.
ImprovBroadway’s “Musical Monday” is a live improvised musical comedy show where performers create songs, scenes, and fake musicals entirely from audience suggestions. The format centers around comedians reviewing and performing numbers from a completely made-up musical title given by the crowd, blending improv comedy, musical theater, and parody.
