Lex Center for Creative Reuse is a nonprofit brick and mortar creative reuse center located in Lexington, KY. A wide and constantly changing array of art and craft supplies are available for sale. Proceeds benefit supply grants for public school teachers, subsidize providing low-cost, high-value art and craft classes, and creating vibrant and engaging opportunities for community art.
Description
Have you been looking for a way to provide support for folks who menstruate? Do you want to practice your sewing skills while helping others? Join us on Wednesday, April 16 from 5:30-7:30 to sew fabric menstrual pads to donate to Ky Mutual Aid.
All materials will be provided, but if you have a sewing machine you can bring, please bring it along!
Accessibility Notes
- This workshop will be held upstairs in Luigart Studios. An elevator is available, but it is best if you email Stacey at lexcreativereuse@gmail.com ahead of time as it requires a key to operate.
- This workshop uses sewing instruments: scissors/cutting implements, needles, and sewing machines.
