Description
What can art reveal about the stories, memories and traits we carry forward?
Learn from an artist currently featured in the museum’s galleries during this dynamic collage workshop with Lurlynn Franklin, exploring family history, memory and the traits passed from one generation to the next. Franklin will offer a look into her creative practice and guide participants in using photographs and mixed media to reflect on their own families.
All materials are provided. Participants are encouraged to bring photographs or memorabilia connected to their family history.
Lurlynn Franklin's work is on view in Memphis College of Art, 1936–2020: An Enduring Legacy.
