Families, hipsters, klez fans unite! Join us at the Parlor Room for our Sunday morning klezmer brunch featuring Myrtle Street Klezmer + special guests.
Not a sit-down-and-listen-to-music event!
We welcome you to our little old-world village where the floor is open for dancing (chairs and tables at the side, for those who prefer to sit); bagels and other delicacies are available (by donation) for your brunching pleasure; and most importantly, kids are welcome to dance and roam and play. Featuring hand rolled bagels by Deb Bernardini!!!
We’ll be swinging and singing in Yiddish, Ukrainian, Hebrew, and Ladino with many opportunities for you to join in and let your voice loose...
Myrtle Street Klezmer is an ecstatic exploration into the past, present & future of klezmer, featuring: Jason Ditzian, clarinet; Myk Freedman, electric guitar; Jesse Olsen Bay, vocals/bass/acoustic guitar; Doug Plavin, drums; Dan Baker, Tuba; Marié Abe, accordion.
