Description
Flood risk data is being developed and updated rapidly by private sector firms, offering new technologies, models, and insights. Public agencies, however, have the responsibility to ensure that consistent, accurate, and transparent information is used to inform policy, guide investment, and protect communities. To achieve this, agencies must establish stronger engagement frameworks with private firms to ensure that flood risk data is both reliable and accessible. The question is not whether to engage with private data providers, but how to do so effectively.
Join us for an essential collaboration session exploring the future of flood risk data and the evolving relationship between public agencies and private sector innovation. For more information about the session, email Jennifer at jennifer@nafsma.org
