Nash tells the story of a singer/songwriter who returns to her small Missouri town after Nashville’s music scene chews her up and spits her out. Affronted by the life she left behind, she must choose to risk it all for a last shot at her dream, or the safely of settling. Switching between narrative story-telling and direct address, our unnamed protagonist takes us back and forth from her struggle as a songwriter in Nashville to the now; having returned to her small Missouri town worse for wear.
This staged reading will be the first ever public presentation of this piece. Come and see the process of a new musical being developed and support new work in Kansas City! There will be 2 presentations (both at the Unicorn Theatre), Friday, January 23rd and Tuesday, Jan 27. BOTH PERFORMANCES ARE NOW AT 7pm. Reserve your free tickets now! ***Recommended age 16+
