Nashville Rounds at Frog City Café – October 7, 2026 Featuring: John Aaron Cockburn & Coco Larosa

Inspired by the songwriter rounds of Nashville Tennessee, this intimate evening brings three songwriters together to share original songs and the stories behind them. Hosted monthly by Dan Tait at Frog City Café, Nashville Rounds offers a rare chance to experience great songs up close in a listening environment, straight from the people that wrote them.

John Aaron Cockburn

John Aaron Cockburn is a Canadian songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist whose two-decade careers includes international touring, millions of streams, and performances on Juno Award-winning recordings. From leading the avant-folk collective Little Suns to collaborating live and in the studio with Canadian folk legend – and his uncle – Bruce Cockburn, Aaron brings a profound depth of musicianship, curiosity and creative instinct to the stage.

Coco Larosa

Surrey, BC’s Coco Larosa is an alt-folk singer-songwriter known for raw, poetic storytelling, rhythmically charged songs, and passionate live performances. A two-time Fraser Valley Music Awards People’s Choice winner, his gritty and emotionally rich songwriting draws comparisons to Bob Dylan, Tom Waits, and John Moreland. He’s just released his debut album The Valley of Tongues in June 2026.

Host: Dan Tait

Dan Tait is a West-Kelowna based singer-songwriter, performer and community builder with a deep love for songs that bring people together. As host of Nashville Rounds, Dan guides the evening with original music, stories and conversational queries – creating an intimate space where audiences really get to know the artists behind the songs.

Like all good stories, this is a story rooted in love.

The seeds of this story were planted way back in the 1970's, when I, Lalita, moved to Kaleden and met the Hayter family. As a youth I would love, laugh, dance, sing, and play on these lands with the Hayter cousins Kris and Myron, eating Grandma Hayters cinnamon toast after school. This family would take over my heart.

Life would happen and we would lose the Hayter cousins at a young age. Grief would move my feet to travel, but eventually these feet would bring me back home to raise my own family.

To return a lifetime later to these lands and these beautiful people completes a circle in my life, full bloom.

It is my honor to be given the opportunity to operate Frog City Cafe with my husband and hold space for love, laughter, dancing, singing, and playing.

This is a love story. This is Frog City Cafe.
