National Gumbo Festival

Description

Thank you for registering your team at the Gumbo Festival. This year the event will take place on November 2nd at CoastAL Restaurant in Orange Beach, Alabama. The team rules and other information are posted below so get signed up and take home a prestigious trophy for your delicious Gumbo recipe!

Team Entry Fee: $150 per team (3 people per team). Entry fee includes 3 Gumbo Fest T-shirts, $100 Rouses gift card, and CoastAL gift bag

• Teams are required to come ready to prepare at least 5 gallons of their own secret recipe gumbo
• Competitors are responsible for all food products used in the event for their sampling entries. Competitors will also be responsible for all of their competition tools including cooking equipment
• Cooking equipment is limited to propane source equipment. No electricity will be provided, no generators allowed.
• No ware washing will be available onsite
• No outside alcoholic beverages consumption will be allowed
• All proper food handling/food procedures, as defined by the State of Alabama, must be followed
• Host will provide: 10x10 Tent, 6 foot table, 3 folding chairs, sampling bowls & spoons

Prize Payouts

1st Place: $1,000 + Gumbo Paddle Trophy

2nd Place: $500 + Gumbo Paddle Trophy

3rd Place: $250 + Gumbo Paddle Trophy

People’s Choice: $500 + Gumbo Paddle Trophy + Bragging Rights
