Natural Perfumery As A Creative Prompt
Scent, emotion and memory are intertwined. Let's learn more about how we can welcome more of this Magic into our everyday lives and - as an extension - our creative processes.
The ingredients used in Natural Perfumery were once available only to the very rich. Royalty. Gods. Your Instructor strives to create more access to these Wonders of The World. She'll have her portable Perfumer's Organ with her, containing dozens of Olfactive Treasures for you to experience. All Beautiful, Some Strange. You'll be able to select your three favorite aromatics. Your Instructor will prepare a scent strip of each for you to keep and refer to while you work on your next Masterpiece.
This class is taught by Sara Josephine Clarke. A Perfumer with over 20 years experience. She is certified as an Advanced Master by The Natural Perfume Academy. She is also a Fine Artist in other ways. Sculptress, Printmaker, Painter. In addition to providing an overview of Natural Perfumery, she'll walk you through how she used scent as a creative prompt to add dimension to one of her paintings.
Her Husband Dylan will also be sharing how he used these mindfulness exercises to add more details to one of his stories.
Please bring what you need so as to take notes and the supplies you need to work on a small work of Art in your preferred medium.
