Honoring 2025 Nature's Ambassadors:
Referred to as the “Mother of Purple Martins”, conservationist Mary
Keleher has helped this species of North American swallows grow from a
half-dozen breeding pairs found in an old beaten-up bird house on Cape
Cod to more than a hundred pairs today.
Greg O’Brien is an Emeritus trustee of the Museum. He co-authored
Secrets in the Sand: The Archaeology of Cape Cod and On Pluto: Inside
the Mind of Alzheimer’s. Greg’s journey with Alzheimer’s is featured in
the PBS documentary Have You Heard About Greg? A Journey through
Alzheimer’s.
Robert Dwyer will be retiring as President of the Museum after almost
20 years. In 2006, he was hired to save the Museum from financial
troubles. Bob has been instrumental in expanding the Museum’s
educational focus for all ages, developing new attractions, both inside
and outside, as well as establishing the Museum as the “place to go”. He
has been the force behind our newest exhibit on Biomimicry which was
recently featured on Channel 5’s Chronicle magazine.
