Naughty Professor will be making their first LIVE appearance in New Orleans since November 2019 when they roll through the BroadSide Nola for a daytime sound-adventure, 2:00pm to 4:00pm on Sunday May 9th.
Naughty Professor is an iconoclastic New Orleans-based jazz-funk sextet whose adventurous recordings and horn-charged, high-energy live performances have earned them an enthusiastic fan base, critical acclaim, and widespread attention from their musical peers.
Their diligent roadwork has established Naughty Professor as a beloved live act. Weaving together complex, inventive compositions and loose, organic improvisation, the band honors their hometown's jazz, R&B and brass-band traditions while looking to the future.
Naughty Professor raised the stakes on their newest album, Identity (June, 2017). Where their prior four releases showcased the group's knack for self-contained instrumental experimentation, Identity finds the band teaming with a stellar assortment of more than a dozen cutting-edge collaborators, whose vocal, instrumental and compositional contributions expand the music into new musical territory. The result is Identity, Naughty Professor's most potent and ambitious musical statement to date. It is a record that, by collecting together diverse and disparate musical voices into a seamless whole, simultaneously honors the past and pushes into the future.

FAQ
1) The showtime listed for the event is the time the event starts. Doors will generally open an hour before the listed show time.
2) We allow pets during the day, but not at night for music (anything after 7pm). Service animals are always allowed.
3) Children 15 years and under do not need a ticket but do require adult supervision.
4) Please do not park in the Broad Theater parking lot. We have a parking lot for The Broadside and plenty street parking available on Toulouse and Lafitte. If you would like to be escorted to your car, please ask the Sheriff on duty. You may also park in the Auto Zone parking lot if they are closed.
5) Chairs are provided for events with a seated element (movies, presentations) but are not out in the yard for most concerts. You are welcome to bring your own chairs, if you require a seat for health reasons or disability, please ask a staff member and they can provide you with a chair.
