About the bill:
North Carolina is one of the fastest-growing states in the country, but many of the regulations that guide this rapid growth haven’t kept pace with the needs of our communities.
H369 removes outdated off-street parking mandates and empowers certain local governments to manage runoff during redevelopment to revitalize downtowns, limit urban sprawl, reduce housing costs, improve water quality, and lower flood risk.
The bill passed the House unanimously during the 2025 long session.
