A group of escaped coltan miners forms an anti-colonialist computer hacker collective in the hilltops of Burundi. They soon attempt a takeover of the authoritarian regime that's exploiting the region's natural resources -- and its people.

"An Afrofuturist fantasia that is also a musical, a science-fiction parable and a hacker manifesto. A treasury of ideas and provocations... that feels both handmade and high-tech, digital and analog, poetic and punk rock.” -A. O. Scott,  The New York Times

“Masterful. Engages with traditions of science fiction and anti-colonialist magical realism to frame an alternatingly rough and ornate Afrofuturist aesthetic.”-Kevin Fox Jr., Paste Magazine

"The future of Black cinema... Utilizes everything the medium of film has to offer — visually, sonically, and emotionally." -Jourdain Searles, The Hollywood Reporter

“A mesmerizing Afropunk odyssey hacking at the boundaries of gender, technology, and class.”-Toussaint Egan, Polygon

“One of the most extraordinarily original cinema experiences of the year.”-Carlos Aguilar, The Wrap

"Dizzyingly inventive... [Displays] fierce originality and punk iconoclasm."-Wendy Ide, Screen Daily
