Founded in 1966, the New Amsterdam Singers is a critically acclaimed chorus of 70+ voices, performing in and around New York City Ben Arendsen, who succeeded Clara Longstreth as music director in 2025. Through adventurous programs, commissions and premieres, and collaborations with other ensembles, we strive to nurture and expand New York City’s dynamic choral community.

A collection of classic and contemporary songs celebrating the winter season. Highlights include movements from J.S. Bach’s Christmas Oratorio, Jake Runestad’s Proud Music of the Storm, and former New Amsterdam Singers member Reena Esmail’s Winter Breviary.
