Description
New TA/GA Orientation is a mandatory event for all newly hired students receiving assistantships. During this day-long program, sessions will include meetings with HR, Title IX, and conversations addressing the unique dual role you will be navigating as both students and workers. We will also reserve part of the day to discuss pedagogy and teaching/research philosophies.
Please be prepared to spend the day with us. An exact time and room location will be confirmed closer to the event date.
This is a mandatory orientation for new employees. If you do not attend, you may have setbacks reflected in your pay, insurance, and onboarding.
The Graduate School's New Graduate Student Orientation is a separate event that is also mandatory for all incoming graduate students. New Graduate Student Orientation will include a panel discussion, breakouts with your program, and an opportunity to connect with other incoming graduate students, and has been scheduled for Wednesday, August 27th.
