The Cape Fear Bonsai Society, established in 2001, is a group that meets monthly to study and practice the art of Bonsai.
The club has an active program of training through workshops, guest speakers, and a sharing of Bonsai expertise. Membership is open to both the novice and the more experienced practitioner of Bonsai.
Description
We are excited to offer a workshop and membership package! the Course fee includes a pre-bonsai juniper, and includes membership in Cape Fear Bonsai Society for 2025. These are professionally grown Lemon hill (juniper x media) junipers, that have already received their first repotting, are in bonsai soil, and were wired for shape by the grower in Maryland. You will be guided in how to complete the styling, including branch selection, wire application. You will also find out how and when to remove the wire, how to water and fertilize your new bonsai tree. You will have the opportunity to get all of your questions about care answered. And don't worry, you are now in a club, which is the best way to acquire bonsai knowledge and meet new friends to share your hobby! We welcome new Cape Fear Bonsai Club Members to join us at our annual picnic afterwards. Class fee comes with annual membership for the calendar year of 2025 which entitles you to attend or observe all workshops and events.
