Ore Dock is beyond stoked to welcome back New Nostalgia, a high-energy 9-piece instrumental jazz/rock fusion band from Chicago. Led by saxophonist and award-winning composer/arranger Neil Carson, New Nostalgia blends the sophistication of jazz, the accessibility of pop, and the raw intensity of rock into a genre-defying experience.
Described as “power-polychord instrumental rock at its finest" by Downbeat Magazine, New Nostalgia is a feast for the ears with a 5-horn section in front, and a prog-rock band in the back. Returning to Marquette to celebrate their self-titled second studio album, the new release is a love-letter to Green Day, Morphine, Caroline Polachek, 10,000 Maniacs, 90's R&B, 18th-century choral music, and other sounds you didn't know you you needed in your life. And in their first-ever vinyl release, enjoy the music on a 2x-LP pressed in Chicago.
