Located in the center of Connecticut's largest historic district, the Webb-Deane-Stevens Museum provides the quintessential New England experience.
Description
This summer, New Zenith Theatre’s stellar Acting Ensemble dives into the world of Illyria; a place where facade, foolery and mistaken identities create mischief and chaos, even as they bring people together in surprising and loving ways. Gender bending isn’t the only trick up Shakespeare’s sleeve, as our heroine “Viola” enters an unusual world of mirrors, rock ballads, stand-up comedy, and other hi-jinks, as New Zenith delivers with their unique brand of vaudevillian fun, original songs, and dynamic physical theatre (and we promise you’ll understand it!).
Recommended for ages 12 and older, (the story is really for teens and up), the FREE performances run about 95 minutes, and curtain is at 7:30 in the historic Webb Barn at the Webb-Deane-Stevens Museum in Old Wethersfield.
Bring a picnic dinner before the performance and eat on the beautiful grounds of the WDS Museum. Many picnic tables throughout.
