Food

Dinner: Pot Roast with hasselbeck potatoes in a creamy cheese sauce and Warldof salad.

Desert: Rice cream with fruit sauce .

Fresh bread. 

Theme

Første nyttårsdag (New Year’s): There is a Halloween like tradition in Norway on New Year’s Eve, which is called ‘Nyttarsbukk’. People dress up fancy and visit friends and family members, who in return treat them with drinks and food. For the January dinner we are combining this tradition with some Første Nyttårsdag (New Year’s Day) traditions, so we are asking everyone who attends the January dinner to dress in “Fancy Dress” for the dinner.  Your Fancy Dress can be literal or you can have fun with it! Everyone who is in Fancy Dress  will visit various treat tables to receive a small treat! 

We are also going to play King Harald of Norway’s New Year Message during the January dinner. The King stressed the importance of looking after one another in 2023! It is only about 15 mins long, so shouldn’t put a strain on the evening’s events.

Prices

$20 Adult - Sons of Norway Members (plus tax and any credit card fees)

$25 Adult - Guests (plus tax and any credit card fees) (anyone not a member of Sons of Norway is a guest)

$10 Kids 11-17 (plus tax and any credit card fees)
