NOROMA
Noroma started making music in his bedroom in New Jersey when he was 13 years old. When he was fifteen, he upload his first songs to Soundcloud under the alias “Gruenbrew.” These tracks caught the ear of DJ LAZ from New York City and LAZ decided to take Noroma on as an apprentice. In the fall of 2015 Noroma studied abroad in England where saw Disclosure perform in Manchester, and he was hugely influenced by the UK Garage and 2 Step scene. When he returned to the USA (he was now living in Chicago), he uploaded his song “Connection Unsuccessful” followed by a remix of the track “Ancient Lights” by TVECHE. These tracks got him some local attention and UIC radio asked him to perform on their weekly new artist slot. This opened up opportunities for him to perform at more events in Chicago like the grand opening of the Tea Bar in Wicker Park while continuing to attend community college in the northwest suburbs. It was around this time that he took on the alias “Noroma” and reinvented himself as an artist. This led to collaborations with TVECHE, Andrew Narvaez, Tennyson, and Timothy Horton. In 2020 Noroma released his debut ep “On the Way Out” in which he sings for the first time and branches out from his traditional EDM roots and experiments with more modern synth-pop and indie rock sounds. DANI NGUYEN

Dani Nguyen (Win) - master of no one thing but enthusiast of many, and lover of music. Dani has dedicated his adult life to pondering the ways of philosophy, as well as an array of instruments which has inevitably formed the way he writes and creates the sounds you will hear in his music. Dani is from Phoenix, Arizona, and started playing music with his sister as The DanDan Noodles and released a LP, Tangerine, together in 2015 prior to his solo EP, This is Only a Test, in 2021. Fun fact: their songs were featured in a Tommy Hilfiger and Samsung commercial! Also fun fact: he was once a cab driver, gone school teacher, gone music album releaser and now a Chicago resident! He enjoys playing shows and open mics in the Chicagoland area.
