Norway Hall Foundation & Norge Lodge - Syttende Mai & International Highland Games Federation Stone-Lifting Competition & Social - May 20, 2023

 

Come celebrate Norway's Constitution Day while cheering on your favorite strength athlete in a Stone Lifting Competition! Winner of this event qualifies to compete in Vinstra, Norway at the IHGF's Fefor Highland Games July 2024.

 

Event Details

Date: May 20th, 2023

Time: 10:30 AM to 6:00 PM

Place: Norway Hall 2006 East Vista Way, Vista CA 92057

Parking: Parking is limited at Norway Hall, so we will have an onsite parking attendant assisting with parking. Please do not park at Prohibition Brewery as they could have you towed. We. have coordinated additional parking with our neighbor, Nuevo Dia Church, and our parking attendant will direct parking in their spaces.

Note: Please have ticket for scanning when checking in. Please have valid identification for alcohol purchases. Wristbands will be provided. Anyone using the blacksmith forge or weapons range will have to sign a waiver.

 

Schedule 

10:30 AM - Doors Open 

11:00 AM to 3:00 PM - Stone-lifting Competition

3:30 PM to 4:00 PM - Children's Parade (Adults too!) in celebration of Syttende Mai (Norway's Constitution Day)

4:00 PM to 5:30 PM - Forge's Thor's Hammer Activity (No open toed shoes. Wear appropriate clothing for blacksmithing. Space is limited.) 

4:00 PM to 5:30 PM - Weapons Range Open (No open toed shoes.)

6:00 PM - Event Concludes

11:00 AM to 5:30 PM - Bar Open

Noon to 4:30 PM - Food Available

Beef Ribs and Pulled Pork, Sausages, Sides, Bread. Potato Salad Cole Slaw, Cake, and Homemade Bread

$10 Adult - (plus tax and any credit card fees)

Free Kids 11-17

Free Kinds 10 & Under

Stone-Lifting Competition & Food Plate

$25 Adult - (plus tax and any credit card fees)

$10 Kids 11-17 - (plus tax and any credit card fees)

Free Kinds 10 & Under with the purchase of an Adult Food Plate

Note: Food Plate includes protein, sides, desert, and homemade bread
