About the Book

"Emma Davis needs a do-over. In the midst of a contentious divorce, her self-esteem, as well as her once-thriving career, have hit rock bottom. Writing professor Evy Hanover is a newcomer to the town of Belmont, New York. Confident, free-spirited, and fun-loving, Evy can navigate whatever life throws her way – except the untimely loss of her one true love. Fate brings Emma and Evy together at a weight loss workshop, where they bond over broken hearts and a love for tacos. Determined to start over, they navigate a whirlwind of online dating disasters, speed dating mishaps, and failed attempts at a singles club, leaving them ready to call it quits—until an unexpected stranger steals Emma’s heart. Just as it all comes together, a devastating secret is revealed that alters their journey and challenges the strength and limits of their friendship. Together, they can get through anything—or can they? In this heartfelt story of resilience and the search for happiness, Emma and Evy learn that even the strongest friendships can’t alter the course of fate, but they can give us the strength to keep going." -Provided by publisher.
