Observation Beehive in the Visitor Center
This is a great opportunity to safely observe bees as they work together to take care of their hive - making honey, cleaning and building new honeycomb structures.

Share The observation beehive will be returning to the Visitor Center on the 18th of June! You can stop in and check it out during Visitor Center business hours: Wednesday thru Saturday 10:30am-4:30pm
This is a great opportunity to safely observe bees as they work together to take care of their hive - making honey, cleaning and building new honeycomb structures. The hive will remain in the Visitor Center until late fall, when we will return them to the hives outdoors to overwinter.
The observation bee hive is in partnership with the Kennebec Beekeepers Association.

Viles Arboretum is a free, easily accessible, botanical garden that is open from dawn to dusk, seven days a week. The space include six miles of trails, 20 botanical collections, and local stone art works (all marked and signed), on 224 acres.
