Description
Nighthawks are not actually hawks but part of the nightjar family of birds! What exactly are nightjars? They are also odd birds like crossbills, cuckoos, yellowhammers, and owls with short ears.
Loggerhead shrikes are killers, fierce songbirds that kill then abandon their victims impaled on spikes. Yikes!
