Like many things in the year 2020, Odie Leigh becoming a musician was never supposed to happen. What sprouted from the New Orleans bedroom of a then 21 year old college student was a viral video prompted by a roommate with a bet: Get the most views on TikTok. Surprising everyone, including herself, Odie Leigh was crowned victor… but now she had an audience watching. Her newfound purpose was followed by two masterful and raw EPs that captured the attention of folk and indie lovers alike. In the midst of a rigorous touring schedule in the US and across the pond, her debut album ‘Carrier Pigeon’ cemented Odie Leigh as one to watch, one that defies expectations and refuses to be pigeon-holed (pun intended) as indie folk’s latest  darling. Following a series of unfortunate events that left her unable to release music, Odie found herself back in her Detroit home with growing a vault of songs she wasn’t sure anyone would get to hear. Now, after keeping herself afloat dealing online blackjack and wrangling dogs in Tractor Supplies, Odie is about to find out if there really is a light at the end of the tunnel. Her story long from finished, Odie Leigh has chronicled the last two years into a sophomore record no one sees coming. Her next chapter is a reinvention, a symbol of what can be made even when you feel you have nothing. It is a stark reminder that, with a sense of humor, even anger, chaos, disappointment, and doubt can beautifully color the darkest of canvases.
