Dear Ogden Dunes Friends and Neighbors:
The Ogden Dunes Volunteer Fire Department is hosting its 78th Annual Firefighter’s Ball on Saturday night, July 26 th , 2025. The Firefighter’s Ball, our traditional summer street dance music event, is the second of two annual ODVFD fundraisers.
Your volunteer fire department is funded, in large part, through monetary donations from our community’s residents and homeowners (like you). We are asking for a seventy-five-dollar ($75) contribution from each household in the community for the Firefighter’s Ball event.
100% of the funds raised are used for equipping, operating, and maintaining your ODVFD. The firefighters, officers, members, and directors of the ODVFD receive no monetary compensation for their time, effort and risk undertaken as members of the volunteer fire department serving Ogden Dunes on a day-to-day basis. Members are “On-Call” whenever in the Ogden Dunes area. We are continuing our work to maintain or improve our skills and capabilities, to serve our community.
We are always seeking new members. If you are willing to volunteer, make the commitment, and expend the time and effort, the ODVFD will provide all the necessary training and equipment. Come down and talk with us, speak with an officer, or give me a call and we can discuss the fire department.
The 78th Annual Firefighter’s Ball – Saturday night, July 26th , 2025, 8:30 PM to 11:30 PM, this is the best party of the summer and is our way of thanking the community for its support. The “Dirty Buoys” band will provide musical entertainment for the party. Beverages, snacks, and Firehouse Italian beef sandwiches, along with a lot of fun served up! Please join us on the last Saturday of July. This is an adult event, twenty-one (21) years and older only, please!
We have enclosed three (3) $25 tickets ($30 at door) which represent the $75 contribution we are requesting from each Ogden Dunes household; door prize winners need not be present. Even if you cannot attend our 78th Annual Firefighter’s Ball we still need your financial support. Please drop off your ticket-stubs and donation check in the RED ODVFD drop-box located in the mailbox rack on Old Hillcrest Road by the street department or you can pay for tickets or donate online at: http://go.odfire.net/25ball.
We are also continuing to offer $100.00 Super Raffle tickets, sold during our St. Patrick’s event, for a chance to win $5,000 and other cash prizes during the Labor Day drawing.
