Description
Oliver, a sweet and innocent boy, escapes the grim workhouse only to find himself surrounded by a group of pickpockets led by the cunning Fagin. Among them is the sympathetic Artful Dodger, who introduces Oliver to this world of crime. As Oliver is drawn deeper into this underworld, he also experiences the kindness of characters like Nancy, a troubled but caring woman, and Mr. Brownlow, a wealthy gentleman who becomes a key figure in Oliver’s life.
The musical is filled with vibrant, unforgettable songs like “Consider Yourself,” “I’d Do Anything,” “Where Is Love?,” and “Food, Glorious Food!” These lively and emotional numbers help to underscore the themes of poverty, innocence, love, and the search for belonging.
