Open Studio: Patches and Embellishements!

Description

Welcome to our Open Studio sessions, where we foster creativity and community in a fun and sustainable way. Each Open Studio will have a different focus on utilizing second-hand materials.  Open Studio tickets are "name your price" with a $5 minimum to help cover the cost of space usage, supplies, and to help support our mission. Attendees are also welcome to bring any non-messy projects they are currently working on. Food, snacks and beverages in spill proof containers are welcome. This is not an instructor led workshop, but assistance is available if needed.

03/24/24 Open Studio Session: Patches and Embellishments: Do you have some garments that could use a little love? At this first Open Studio, attendees are encouraged to bring garments with small / medium holes or tears that can be patched with scrap fabric using simple hand sewing techniques or with HeatBond. Attendees can then add additional embellishments like puffy paint, jewels, or buttons, to make it a fun and unique upcycled piece.

Bring a friend! Make it a fun night of upcycling and encouraging slow fashion.

Tickets must be purchased online at least 12 hours before the event. No walk-ins. Space is limited. Tickets are non refundable so please plan accordingly before purchasing. Please have email confirmation / ticket readily available upon arrival. Children under the age of 15 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times.

Please note that photographs will be taken throughout this event. These may be used by Spare Parts for marketing and publicity in our publications, on our website and in social media or in any third party publication.
