About the Artist
Tiff Massey is an interdisciplinary artist from Detroit, Michigan. Inspired by African standards of economic vitality, the material culture of 1980’s hip hop, and her experience in Detroit, Massey uses contemporary observances of class and race through the lens of the African diaspora in her large-scale and wearable sculptures and jewelry.
About the Tributaries Series
Derived from the Museum’s location along the Mississippi, as well as from the focus of the exhibition series, Tributaries features artists whose work is beginning to have a significant impact on the metal arts community.
