Opera on Tour: CINDERELLA at Lake Eola Heights Community Garden

Opera Orlando Studio Artists take the show on the road with a touring production of Cinderella, riffing on Massenet’s Cendrillon. This 45-minute adaptation is perfectly suited for opera lovers of all ages, and audiences will encounter all of their favorite characters: Cinderella, the evil stepmother, a benevolent Fairy GodFATHER, and, of course, Prince Charming.

 

When Cinderella is forbidden to attend the dance by her horrid stepmother, a Fairy Godfather calls upon magic to conjure up a sparkling dress, a sweet ride, and of course, the finishing touch — an enchanted slipper. But once Cinderella arrives, is it really going to be everything she has hoped it will be?

 

This free event is outdoors. Guests are encouraged to bring picnic blankets or lawn chairs to the performance.
