One Omaha Children’s Museum membership may be purchased by each branch. The membership will be taking place of the Family Admission passes we provided in previous years.
Each membership is $550+tax and will last from 9/1/2024 to 9/31/2025. If your library is exempt from state sales tax, you can submit your Form 13 or IA Dept of Revenue Tax Exemption Form to the museum to receive an invoice for the untaxed rate.
The branch will receive either a QR Code for digital passes via email or physical membership cards in the mail. One will serve as the primary to be checked out by library patrons and the second will serve as a backup if the primary card is not returned, damaged, lost, or stolen.
Each branch may decide the length the card can be checked out for, when it must be used by, and when to return it. Please let the museum know your branch or district’s policy.
A library pass holder can only check out the pass for their family once every 30 days.
Library patrons must have the physical/digtal membership card and show their library card at time of check in. We may ask them to fill out a short survey to record demographics.
Membership may be used for general admission during public museum hours. It may not be used to receive discounts on special events, camps, gift shop, or other general membership benefits.
The membership is good for up to two adults and six children per use and may be used once per day. If the library patron has a larger family outside of those limits, please have them call and receive approval prior to their visit. Otherwise, they will be asked to pay admission for the remaining guests.
The museum reserves the right to alter the program for any reason at any time.
If you have any questions, please contact Mary Slater at mslater@ocm.org or 402-930-8025.
Since its inception in 1976, Omaha Children’s Museum has been a special place where children can challenge themselves, discover how the world works and learn through play. It is Omaha’s primary participatory museum and provides a variety of hands-on exhibits, workshops, programs, presentations and special events that put children in touch with their ever-changing world.
Educational programming is an area of strength for Omaha Children’s Museum. Special offerings such as focus field trips, summer camps, workshops, presentations, and birthday parties help round out the experience for young visitors.
The imaginative environment at Omaha Children’s Museum reaches beyond home and school experiences, nurturing growth and development as young children and their adults explore the world together.
