Workshop Content

This full-day course covers all aspects of hand-rearing orphaned flying foxes, from intake to release.

To hand-rear orphans, you must be available full-time from October/November to January, be fully vaccinated against rabies, and have a proven immunity titre. You will also learn what is required to apply for a permit from DEW to raise orphan flying foxes.

Presented by Linda Collins, a flying fox expert with many years of experience.

Fauna Rescue SA Members  $5     Non-Members  $25     Children under 16 years  Free

Online attendance - existing members who have previously attended at least one workshop in person and live approximately 100km away from Fauna Rescue SA HQ are eligible to attend online. If you are a member and would like to attend online, please email us at training@faunarescue.com.au

Merchandise will be available for sale on the day to members only. Card facilities are available. 

Refunds policy - if you are no longer able to attend the event, please notify us as soon as possible via marketing@faunarescue.com.au. Refunds are available when at least 5 days notice is provided.

 

Food and Catering

The lunch break during the workshop is a wonderful opportunity for you to meet other like-minded people.
